„Francophony” – an App for intercultural projects

Doina BANCIU, Monica BARBU

Abstract:

The French language has contributed overwhelmingly to the modernization of the Romanian language. Thus, almost 20% of the basic words of the Romanian language come from the French language. This influence transcends linguistic and state boundaries, manifesting itself in various fields of activity and especially in the cultural sphere of several nations. In this context, fracophony is born – an extended cultural space, conducive to the development of intercultural projects and activities. This article briefly presents the evolution of francophony over time and proposes an application for mobile devices with the role of promoting francophony at the national level but also to encourage the development of projects in the francophone space.

Keywords:
francophony, mobile device app, intercultural projects.
