Language, Thinking and Reality

Abstract:

For the modern man possessing a „homo faber – like” „forma mentis”, the purpose of his activity and even his existence, is given by the activities performed on outside one's own self. Ancient man sought to „think” the world (and himself) and express it adequately. In order to achieve this he tried to designate reality through a method typical to each civilization (Greek, Indian, and Chinese). Ancient man’s ideal was that through thought he would regain his initial divine status, represented by „the god-like status”.
