e-Services and Open Access to Data for Europe

Monica ANGHEL

Abstract:

In today's digital world, governments in Europe are facing many challenges, ranging from the semantic, organizational and legal, to complex technical issues revolving around the concept of interoperability. The LSP projects that were previously developed (e-CODEX, epSOS, PEPPOL, SPOCS and STORK 2.0 ) have already shown that crossborder electronic provision of services is much simpler and more efficient when using interoperable ICT solutions. In various fields, fundamental technical modules were developed, which were then tested in accordance with real life scenarios relevant to business and citizens. The new large-scale pilot project e-SENS has been designed to enhance and reinforce the results of previous projects and also to expand their solutions in new areas.
