Telemonitoring Systems for Energy Production Using Renewable Sources

Tudor-George ALEXANDRU

Abstract:

The paper presents the problem of telemonitoring systems, both for patients telemonitoring and for remote monitoring of renewable energy power stations (PV power stations and winf turbines/farms. New paradimes are used, such as Internet of Things, M2M and Cloud Computing. At the end of the paper, we present three exemples of remote monitoring systems for renewable energy sources power plants: systems for monitoring PV power plants, wind turbines, offshore wind farms and an exemple of using Cloud Computing technology for the management of renewable energybased power stations.

Keywords:
telemonitoring, Internet of Things (IoT), M2M, Cloud Computing, renewable energy sources.
