New Technologies for Alternative Access Into the Public Library

Abstract:

Mobile devices are ubiquitous in today’s society, and there’s no evidence that is going to change. The article presents a brief description of the Mobile Web and its advantages, why it is crucial for librarians to understand mobile devices and provide services through them. We compare Native Apps and Web Apps. We present Arges County Library experience which developed two such versions, from the first for a Romanian public library.
