The Role of Electronic Governance in Bridging the Digital Divide

Abstract:

In e-governance area, the cooperation between key stakeholders is vital in order to reduce the digital divide. Governments should play a leadership role in designing and implementing accessible electronic services with an easy to access and relevant content. Studies highlight the fact that the main factors in reducing the digital divide are international collaboration and providing means to implement the assumed strategies.
