Integrated Multimedia System for Access to the Multicultural Thesaurus of the Areas Inhabited by Romanians – eBiMuz

Abstract:

This paper presents the research in the multimedia area regarding the access to the multi-cultural heritage in the areas inhabited by Romanians, as integrated part of the European culture, through dynamic generation of web pages related amongst themselves, multimedia database using hierarchical structures of object-attribute-relation. So, the text and image information are defined by inheritance relationships. The paper presents the achievements in the multimedia databases for organizing and retrieving information regarding libraries and museums.
