Abstract:

This paper presents a documentary synthesis regarding the present approaches and accomplishments in the quality and performance evaluation of the online libraries. The paper also presents the general aspects concerning the online library evaluation (concepts, criteria and evaluation methods). There are also described the present preoccupations and the main accomplishments in the field, underlying the research projects, the evaluation methods and integrated approaches.
